with Prof. Dr. Hanne Loreck and the artist Anette Rose

The TWIST exhibition shows the three work complexes Captured Motion, Pattern in Motion and Nest Building. In addition to machines that weave, braid and knit, weaver birds are also shown building nests. The artist Anette Rose and the art theorist Hanne Loreck talk about this and other aspects of textiles.

Prof. Dr. Hanne Loreck is a professor of art and cultural studies/gender studies at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts and a freelance author and art critic. She publishes on current art positions, the art and media history of the 20th century and cultural theory with a focus on subject theory and questions of aesthetic-political action in relation to visibility, imagery and surfaces.

Wednesday 17 July at 7 p.m. in the TWIST exhibition
