This is the final of the final - an event as modest as Berlin and as exuberant as one can be on a summer evening, a lyrical sundowner, sex on the beach for language lovers and quite possibly the best poetry slam in the world.

DJ Ernesto Linares (Calima) plays electronic music with a dash of cumbia and trumpets sound as the sun sinks behind the lake. A Mexican mariachi band plays on a floating stage and then it starts: the best poetry slammers in the country compete for the audience's favor with their texts.
