We need a culture of discourse
A German Jew with Israeli roots and a German-Palestinian can talk to each other. Since 2023, Jouanna Hassoun and Shai Hoffmann have been traveling together from school to school for their Trialog project to talk about the war, the current escalation in Israel and Palestine, and the effects on Muslim and Jewish life in Germany.

In their discussion groups, they create a space that also allows for questions and views that many do not dare to ask or express. In doing so, they prove that talking to each other is possible and motivate readers to enter into the dialogue themselves.
In May 2024, Jouanna Hassoun and Shai Hoffmann received the Ambassador for Democracy and Tolerance award from the Federal Agency for Civic Education.
