Uri Shafir, Gil Kerer, Olivia Court Mesa

Uri Shafir: No Forest - It seems that there are no places further apart or more different in nature than the forest and the theater stage. The forest is a place where everything happens - untold, undescribed, disorganized, messy.

In this solo, a dancer conjures up a choreography as if it were a forest - unpredictable, full of life and full of hidden, tangled, winding paths.

The stage as a place where it is possible to disappear, to doubt, to get lost, to survive in a world where the mind exhausts its ways.

Premiere as part of Curtain Up 2021 with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports as well as the Yasmeen Godder Company and the National Lottery Association in collaboration with the Mandel Cultural Center as part of the residency program.

Gil Kerer: Shoresh

Letting go of fantasies of collapse and delusions of abandonment.

Grounding.

Maturation.

Belonging.

Choreography: Gil Kerer

Dance: Korina Fraiman

Music: The Well-Tempered Clavier 1 Fugue No.18 in G sharp minor by Johann Sebastian Bach - Friedrich Gulda

World premiere at the Between Heaven and Earth Festival 2022, Jerusalem. The piece was awarded 3rd place in the International Choreography Competition Copenhagen 2023.

Olivia Court Mesa: Whenever I'm alone

This dance solo is a woman's journey into the raw, mechanical, burning and urgent, hidden and fragile layers of herself - her body serves as an inseparable companion for a dialogue.
