Guest: Lothar Lambert, filmmaker

In July, Lothar Lambert, who became known as a West Berlin underground filmmaker in the 1970s, turns 80. For "Filmspotting," he chose the film he shot when the Toronto Festival of Festivals dedicated a retrospective to him in 1982 and he traveled to America.

›Fräulein Berlin‹ is about a woman who struggles with being known for revealing appearances in underground films.

The main role is played by Lambert's then muse Ulrike S. He has also secured some well-known names for small roles - especially fellow directors such as Norman Jewison, Bette Gordon, Eric Mitchell, Jim Jarmusch and Helke Sander.
