Almost 400 years ago, the Dutch artist Maarten van Heemskerck traveled to Rome. Fascinated by the city and ancient sites such as the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, he filled his sketchbook with countless drawings.

What impresses you? You explore the exhibition and take a look at your city outside the museum door.
You draw motifs with chalk, red chalk and pen, which you then implement as drypoint etchings.
