Scenic reading with Marina Senckel & Winfried Goos and music by Valentin Butt

The painter and the poet met for the first time in Worpswede, the notorious artists' colony. The correspondence that developed between them is an incomparable testimony of two souls who dedicated themselves body and soul to their art and life, who encouraged and inspired each other with strength and humor.

Their shared feeling left its mark on their works:

Paula painted one of the few portraits of Rilke in Paris and the poet wrote one of his most beautiful poems in memory of his friend.

Marina Senckel and Winfried Goos lend their voices to the two and take the audience on a journey through the highs and lows of a thrilling and changeable relationship.
