Posters and Tape Works

Niklaus Troxler is one of the most renowned poster designers in Switzerland. His works are now being honoured in an exhibition at the Center for Visual Arts. With around 100 original posters spanning a period from the late 1970s to 2024 and 50 original tape art works, visitors will get an overview of his work.



Troxler's work has been exhibited all over the world and he has won numerous national and international design competitions and awards. He is represented in the most important design collections, including the Museum of Modern Art and the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum in New York, the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg and the Poster Museum at Wilanow in Warsaw. His works can also be found in the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, the Deutsches Plakat Museum in Essen and the poster collection at the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich.


From 1998 to 2013, Troxler taught as a professor of communication design at the Stuttgart State Academy of Fine Arts. He also gave countless workshops and lectures worldwide.


The tape works and a selection of signed original posters can be purchased during the exhibition.
