Four important cemeteries are located on Liesenstraße in Berlin-Mitte. Even today, you can find numerous artistically valuable graves and buildings here, as well as the final resting places of famous people such as Theodor Fontane, hotelier Lorenz Adlon and circus director Paul Busch.

The construction of the Berlin Wall right across these cemeteries partially destroyed them and left them in a deep sleep. To this day, they have not returned to the city's consciousness, but that is precisely why they exude a special atmosphere.
