Grand clocks in the Marble Palace presented by clock curator Dr. Silke Kiesant, SPSG

All five clocks in the palace rooms of the Marble Palace tell their own fascinating story. Dr. Silke Kiesant, curator of the clock collection, explains that they were not just timepieces and presents the important mechanical and handcrafted masterpieces. They were made, among others, by Oberhofuhrmacher Christian Möllinger, David Roentgen and Jean-Pierre Latz. Two of these grand clocks still have a musical mechanism, which is presented in a contemporary way.
