Guided tour on the eventful history of the palace, its residents and their guests with palace director Petra Reichelt, SPSG

It was not just electors and kings who shaped the history of the castle. The property was also a factory and a private home. And the von Thümen and von Willich families housed many a writer within its walls. During the GDR era, a municipal vocational school moved in, teaching photography, food and photo laboratory technology, among other things.

This tour will present the castle's eventful history and new aspects of research. The team received a lot of information from the archives and historical sources, but also from conversations with descendants and contemporary witnesses. The team would therefore be very happy to enter into dialogue with the audience.
