About Zasha Colah

In her exhibitions and texts, curator and author Zasha Colah explores artistic creation under conditions of constant repression. Her prism is life-affirmation under simultaneous tyranny, so in regions of permanent repression she explores the most diverse cultural expressions of civil disobedience, including laughter and humour as moments of liberation.

Zasha Colah's work explores the cultural diversity of unruly practices, the construction of subtle infrastructures for action and expressive resistance to militarisation and extractivism. She is particularly interested in the moment when these practices become collectivised.
