The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be generating excitement around the world from 11 June to 19 July – and in Berlin, too, the tournament will be followed with great enthusiasm. Even though the matches aren’t being played here, the capital will be cheering, celebrating and getting into the spirit as if we were right in the thick of it.
If you don’t want to watch the matches alone in front of the telly, the capital offers plenty of opportunities for an unforgettable public viewing experience. Whether on a big screen at Potsdamer Platz, in a cosy beer garden, right by the water or in an extraordinary cultural venue. There’s something for everyone here!
Tip 1: Public viewing at the new DUFTE BERLIN
DUFTE is kicking things off: since May, there’s been a new, large culinary cultural centre on Kantstraße in the Kant-Garagenpalast, which you absolutely must visit! Bring your family and friends, because not only is the atmosphere cool here, but there’s plenty of space – both indoors and outdoors!
Dufte Berlin will be showing all World Cup matches that fall within its regular opening hours on a 4 x 2.5-metre LED screen in the beer garden! The four young, creative gourmet kitchens will serve you specially created football menus, and there are eight different beers on tap to choose from at the Dufte bar. Our tip: Take part in the DUFTE World Cup prediction game and win a whole keg of Heidi – the venue’s exclusive Franconian lager!
