From Oxford to Little America
Dahlem has always been one of the most sought-after spots in Berlin – and home to many embassies. The villas and parkland around the Seminaris CampusHotel Berlin continue to bear witness to this history and its past dreams. At the turn of the 20th century, plans were afoot to turn it into a research hub, the ‘German Oxford’. Parts of the university, research institutes, museums and other educational institutions were set to move to the site. It’s also home to the notable Max-Planck-Gesellschaft research campus and part of the Freie Universität.
