The time between Christmas and New Year's Eve is usually a quiet time, the Christmas presents have been unwrapped and the stollen eaten. Some are still frantically planning their New Year's Eve party and looking for the fondue set, others use the time for a personal review of the year. But of course there's also a lot going on on Berlin's stages between the years. We have put together 11 highlights of plays, operas, concerts and annual reviews for you - so boredom doesn't stand a chance.

With fiery vows of love in the South Seas and lively jazz music, the Komische Oper is the place to be. The German Film Orchestra Babelsberg will play the famous film music live.

Who stole the baked apple? Mambuso, the Dalmatian bear, has stolen it and caused chaos, which only Father Christmas can sort out in the end. The musical theatre Rumpelstil presents this entertaining play with lots of musical fun for children between the ages of five and twelve.

The troupe from the improv theatre Die Gorillas also looks back on 2021 - and you can share your personal moments with them and the audience. At your shouts, the Gorillas will perform dark tragedies, sing arias or turn the retrospective into a hip-hop parody. No one knows what the evening will bring - but great fun is guaranteed.

Goldoni's comedy has lost none of its momentum over the centuries when Truffaldino, as the servant of two masters, gets into ever greater entanglements and completely absurd situations.
