Natural History Museum Potsdam

A walk through the fauna and flora of Brandenburg

Please note: The current opening and closing hours and special hygiene rules for the Covid-19 are available on this website.

The Natural History Museum Potsdam invites you on a foray through Brandenburg’s animal kingdom. The permanent exhibition’s sections, which include “Brandenburg’s Animal Kingom and its History of Biodiversity”, “Animals in the Garden” and the “Fish of Brandenburg” aquarium, provide insight into Brandenburg’s biological diversity. Learn about the global problem of biological invasion. The museum is located in the one-time “Zauche Estate House”, which was built under the direction of Gottfried Christian Unger in 1770. Today, it serves as a prime example of how to culturally utilise a historical, heritage-listed building.
