Landwehrkanal

Green, water and pretty cool

Prinzenstraße is the start of one of the most endearing sections of the Landwehr Canal. Right next to the bridge is the always well-visited and abundantly noisy Prinzenbad. A few steps further, the new riverside promenade attracts young urbanites and tourists blessed with free time. On the opposite side on Urban-Ufer, a restaurant ship is anchored and people like to picnic on the meadow on Fraenkelufer. Unusual are some houses on stilts built for the 1987 building exhibition, a few steps further stands the synagogue. On the right-hand side of Kottbusser Brücke is the legendary Ankerklause, behind which a popular market is held at weekends. On the other side, on Paul-Lincke-Ufer, café follows restaurant. After that, it becomes quieter until Forster Straße, where a beautiful boules court on the waterfront with 15 lanes is always well frequented. There is certainly no greener place in Berlin with more variety.
