Istituto Italiano di Cultura

The Berlin Italian Culture Institute is the official organ of the state of Italy and Department of Culture of the Italian embassy. It has the duty to promote the Italian language and culture in Germany through cultural events and the dissemination of ideas, the arts and the sciences. How dry it sounds from the land of the Dolce Vita. Yet, the programme of the institute is then so much sweeter: there are conventions such as “German Vita, the picture of Italians in the Federal Republic”, and workshops or lectures on cooking. In addition, the institute offers Italian language and culture courses, which are held by experienced native speaking teachers.
