Hacking Gutenberg
Book and poster printing for the 21st century
The experimental letterpress workshop Hacking Gutenberg seeks to reinvent traditional letterpress printing for the 21st century by combining analogue and digital techniques.
The workshop in Potsdamer Strasse uses traditional techniques such as lead and wooden lettering, various presses and a simplex platen. In addition, the creative designers work with a digital risograph and a glowforge laser.
This results in unique print products that are available in the p98a shop: creative posters, printed fabric bags, a large assortment of postcards and more. The team is also happy to manufacture your individual print orders on request. Last but not the least, the manufactory holds fascinating workshops to give anyone interested a practical insight into the world of printing.
