Große Orangerie - Schloss Charlottenburg

The Great Orangery near Charlottenburg Palace welcomes you in royal splendour. In the 16th century, the building served as a shelter for the fruit from the Residenzgarten, which was not suitable for winter; during the cold months, around 500 orange, lemon and orange trees were stored and cared for here. The light-flooded Orangery offered itself as the perfect event location already in the Renaissance, until today concerts and other events take place here regularly.
