Music theatre by NICO AND THE NAVIGATORS

What is the whole truth about lies? Where can it be found and what comes to light when it is revealed? In the age of artificial intelligence and social networks, anyone looking for the truth about lies will often find it in paradoxes - or in the theater.

In their Berlin premiere, NICO AND THE NAVIGATORS ask about this abstract dimension, which unfolds a very concrete, often catastrophic power in both private and political life.

The truth appears to be a healing and hurtful means of human interaction, a force that exposes or seduces. The lie, on the other hand, acts as its antidote.

So do people perhaps need lies because they cannot live with the pure truth? Are small lies venial sins or do they already trigger an avalanche that buries us?

Between baroque and pop, between song, dance and text, the NAVIGATORS search for the "Whole Truth about Lies" and combine the old theater illusion "Pepper's Ghost" from the 19th century with current AI technology. The boundaries between real bodies and false images become blurred, the horizontal tilts into the vertical and avatars dance with their people. Perhaps in the end the truth about lies lies in the middle - somewhere between "Gimme some Truth" and "Tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies".
