On 5 December 2024, the dance company of the Walter Gropius School will present its new dance programme ‘Whispered News – All in the Dance’ on stage. The performance, created by 22 dancers from grades 2 to 6, is under the creative direction of Mirjam Fichtel and Mara de Maddalena.

Inspired by Fine Degen's text ‘Flüsterpost’, this dance performance takes us into the diverse world of a school class, where a simple sentence from a teacher is passed from child to child. As it makes its way through the class, the harmless message develops into a surprising game full of interpretations and emotions.
This impressive performance is more than just entertainment – it encourages us to take the voices of the younger generation seriously.
Important topics such as climate change, social exclusion and uncertain future prospects are often discussed without taking into account the perspectives of children and young people. ‘Flüsterpost - lauter Tanz’ gives these voices space and transforms them into expressive dances on stage.
An inspiring evening with dance in many variations - live, on video and as documentation - awaits the audience.
