The German Chamber Orchestra Berlin was founded in the autumn of 1989 in the spirit of reunification and has established itself as an integral part of Berlin's music and cultural life in the more than 30 years of its existence. Together with star oboist Albrecht Mayer, they will perform a programme of romantic masterpieces, festive poetry and baroque music that puts the oboe centre stage.



The ensemble is made up of musicians from all over Berlin as well as international colleagues and always inspires with its curiosity and commitment. The orchestra fascinates the audience with its lively and authentic performance and impresses with excellent sound quality.

  • Carl Nielsen: Suite for strings op. 1
  • Alessandro Marcello: Concerto for oboe, strings and basso continuo in D minor
  • Johann Sebastian Bach: St. Matthew Passion BWV 244: Aria "Ebarme Dich" (version for oboe d'amore and ensemble)
  • Peter Tchaikovsky: Serenade for string orchestra in C major op. 48
