With Sisters in Crime from Berlin

On Friday, April 4, 2025, at 8 p.m., the Gottfried Benn Library invites you to the Long Night of Libraries (Nentershäuser Platz 1, 14163 Berlin; not far from Zehlendorf S-Bahn station). Admission is free. Advance registration requested.

Nine crime writers immerse themselves in the world of crime for six minutes each; when their time is up, a shot is fired and the next one takes the stage.

Participants in alphabetical order: Dr. Kerstin Finkelstein (plus moderator), Andrea Gerecke, Slavica Klimkowsky, Vera Lohkamp, Andrea Maluga, Heidi Ramlow, Connie Roters, Susanne Rüster, Barbara Schlungbaum.

Lucia Maluga will provide musical accompaniment on the harp, and technical support will be in the hands of Katte Rosch.

The Ladies Crime Night promises a lot of excitement and fun. The finest entertainment with varied crime stories (almost) like in real life. The regional group of the Murderous Sisters presents crime novels with a female perspective on our society.

This is also the case in the sisters' anthology "Zerstöckelt", which the authors have published. At a Ladies Crime Night, only women create the literary program.

Murderous Sisters e.V. is the largest European non-profit association of German-speaking crime writers and celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2021. Around 800 writers and women associated with crime literature are Murderous Sisters. They live and work in Japan, Austria, Switzerland, England, France, Sweden, Portugal, Ireland and Germany. In Brandenburg and Berlin there are 75 authors; they meet regularly on the 13th of every month in the "Max and Moritz" inn.
