In the noughties, Dota Kehr released under the pseudonym “Die Kleingeldprinzessin”, and in 2003 and 2007 she recorded albums in Brazil in collaboration with Brazilian musicians such as Chico Cesár and Danilo Guilherme. Since 2013 she has been touring and releasing under the name DOTA, which includes her musicians and herself.

Dota Kehr was born in Berlin, where she has always lived - with the exception of a few longer stays in South America. In 2020 the band released the album “Kaléko” with settings of Mascha Kaléko’s lyrics. “In the Farthest of the Far” was released in June 2023 – another album with Mascha Kaléko settings, with which the band tours large theaters and concert halls. Some previously unreleased pieces will also be heard in the castle in the air.

Lennart Schilgen writes songs that tell stories. Mostly about what he fails at: making decisions. Impress girls around the campfire. Abolish capitalism. But he always manages to wrest unheard facets from the “guy with a guitar” concept. Musically accomplished, he plays with genre traditions and casually jumps between styles and moods.

He has received numerous awards for his “sparking art of language” (AZ), including the “Prix Pantheon”. Of course he knows that prices don't have to say anything about quality. But if he wins it himself, he can overlook it surprisingly well.

Naima Husseini recorded and sang most of the music for her new album “Funken” live with her band. This energy and this dynamic also translates into our ears, or rather our legs. They are not only audible at any moment, but also noticeable.

Naima's songs are also characterized by a special kind of naturalness. It's not just in her voice, the whole music sounds as if it were breathing, coming in waves, as if buds were opening and closing to the rhythm of the music.
