Celebrating and giving in the past | Guided tour in German for families with children aged 6 and over. The Christmas season is wonderful: we decorate our homes and classrooms, write wish lists to Father Christmas, bake Christmas biscuits and look forward to receiving presents. But why does Christmas even exist? What was it like in the past and what do we know about Christmas in the royal family?

During the one-hour tour, we talk about these questions and about Charlottenburg Palace, where people not only lived but also celebrated. At the end of our journey back in time, we will listen to a Christmas tale or sing a Christmas carol together. This is the right place for anyone who wants to learn about the festive season and experience the Christmas spirit. Even if you celebrate Christmas in a completely different way or celebrate other festivals.
Please note:
- The guided tours on 8 December and 22 December are aimed specifically at families with children.
- On the other two Sundays in Advent, we offer guided tours for adults.
- The programme can be booked for groups on Tuesdays to Thursdays during Advent.
