
Berlin literature in the Romanisches Café (in German)
In his novel "Bienenstich," writer and journalist Viktor Funk, born in Kazakhstan during Soviet times, recounts the difficulties of arriving in Germany and the associated identity crises. His novel "We Don't Understand What's Happening" follows the life of a physicist who survived nine years in a Siberian prison camp. Bernadette Conrad and Michael Bienert speak with the Russia expert about his perspective on Berlin.
