Fabulously utopian - spring concert of the Utopia Orchestra

In its spring concert, the Utopia Orchestra invites its audience on a musical journey into the mysterious world of fairy tales. Concertgoers young and old can look forward to enchanting music from Engelbert Humperdinck's opera Hansel and Gretel and other fairy-tale musical encounters.

Utopia is where you live it - The Utopia Workshop introduces itself.

The supporting association KulturLeben Berlin has been working for 11 years to promote cultural participation and social inclusion by providing unsold cultural seats free of charge to people with low incomes.

The Utopia Orchestra is not only the heart of Werkstatt Utopia, but also the first inclusive (amateur) symphony orchestra in Berlin and nationwide.

Since the start of the project in May 2018, over 40 music enthusiasts have found their way to Werkstatt Utopia and the Utopia Orchestra. The project leader Mariano Domingo is keen to overcome barriers in the (own) heads and to develop creative forms of playing together.

Rehearsals take place once a week in a barrier-free rehearsal room at the St. Elisabeth-Stift senior center run by Stephanus Wohnen und Pflege gGmbH in Prenzlauer Berg. At least two major symphony concerts are held each year, plus chamber music concerts and performances at external events.
