Performance . Revival by CO₂...a couple of artists in the frame of Tanznacht Berlin 2025: Vocal Affairs

“Undecidable Question” is a linguistically and visually rich performance triology by the Croatian group CO₂...a couple of artists. It unfolds in a public yet intimate space –  in a black box with variables in which social proximity is practised.

In search of the syntax of a new future, the artists Nikolina, Goran Sergej and Priska Pia Pristaš lead small groups of audience members through investigations into unsolvable questions of the past and traces of the present.

The first part of the trilogy, “Myth Interrupted”, dissects historical moments of collective will through a poetic lecture and interrogates competing visions of ‘best possible worlds’.

“They Called Them Footprints” explores gestures of togetherness through choreography and drawing, invoking voices from the future. „...to forge a swimmable path through the snow... “ uses the language of a nursery rhyme to imagine a horizonless landscape. Words condense here into unexpected connections — into sonic “caverns with the strangest corridors“ (Walter Benjamin).

CO₂...a couple of artists is a artistic formation entangling Nikolina Pristaš and Goran Sergej Pristaš (ex. BADco.) in a series of encounters with artists, experts and students. The interdisciplinary ensemble intertwines poetry, movement, and experimental media to deconstruct fixed narratives and reanimate collective imaginaries. With their projects and collaborations they participated at Venice Biennale 2011 and 2016, Documenta 12 and numerous festivals and conferences.
