Where is the moral limit of unconditional parental love? Is unrestricted solidarity with one's own children right? Are parents responsible for criminal acts committed by their children? Educational scientist and theologian Axel Bohmeyer answers these and other questions.

In the production "The Dinner", Herman Koch tells the story of a dinner between two married couples in a chic restaurant in Amsterdam. The two men, Paul and Serge, are brothers. Serge is a prominent politician who is about to run for an important election.

Behind the polite facade of the meeting, however, it quickly becomes clear that a far more explosive issue is at stake:

Their sons have committed a terrible crime. The young people killed a homeless woman on their way home from a party. The brutal act was filmed by the boys and the video quickly spreads on the Internet. The parents must decide how far they will go to protect their children.
