An event of the Berliner Festspiele / Musikfest Berlin

The crime of the slave trade between Europe, Africa and America not only shaped the course of the world, but also the history of music. Together with his visionary ensemble Hespèrion XXI and musicians from Africa and the Americas, Jordi Savall has developed a musical dialogue between European baroque and the songs of slaves between 1440 and 1880. On the stage of the Berlin Philharmonie, the Atlantic becomes a meeting space for different influences.
