The usual categories for big band, brass band or trombone choir don't really apply to the Lankwitz Horns. They are a bit of everything, because the more than 30 members, under the direction of Stefan Gocht, belong to the ‘wood’ - saxophone and clarinet, to the ‘brass’ - trumpets and trombones or to the ‘rhythm’ - tuba, electric bass and drums.

The varied repertoire does the rest, from world music to pop hits, gospels, oldies, African songs and sometimes chorales as well as hymns suitable for big bands.

Since its foundation in 2002 under the direction of Rolf Tischer, the group has been characterised by its joy of playing and good spirit and has helped to spread a good atmosphere.
