For 46 years, the Iranian government, acting in the name of God, has used inhumane violence to impose a regime in which criticism of the government and "deviant behavior" are life-threatening. Women in particular live in a system of oppression in Iran, against which many risk their lives.

Participating on the panel and via video link are:

  • Herta Däubler-Gmelin, former Federal Minister of Justice (Chair)
  • Behnaz Amani, Iranian literary scholar and poet
  • Javaid Rehman, former UN Special Rapporteur on the human rights situation in Iran
  • Frank Schwabe, Member of the German Bundestag

The event is free of charge, but registration is required.
