Concert Berlin and Hamburg Youth Jazz Orchestra
In search of the current sound and groove of jazz, two state youth jazz orchestras will take to the stage on 6 and 7 March 2025 at 8 pm and play at the hip new Hamburg jazz club Nica and on 7 March 2025 at the Jazz Institute Berlin.

You can experience a musical double bill with current compositions from the European jazz scene.
The Berlin Youth Jazz Orchestra (BJJO) will be performing its own compositions, which were written especially for this ensemble by bandleaders Fabia Mantwill and Nicolai Thärichen. Since its new formation, the BJJO has consisted of a big band, string quartet and 4 vocals - an innovative, flexible line-up. The Hamburg State Youth Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Jörn Marcussen-Wulff combines current works by composers from all over Europe under the title ‘European Spirit’.Two Cities - One Groove - Concert by the Berlin and Hamburg Youth Jazz Orchestras
