Trio Fado
The variety of instrumentation and the lyrical echoes of the lyrics enrich the rustic, original form of fado.
It is particularly important to the trio's musicians to always maintain and combine the balance of traditional fado with their own compositions. This is particularly evident in the song "nunca é tarde" (lyrics and vocals by Maria Carvalho), recorded by TRIO FADO for the Berlinale hit "Night Train to Lisbon."
The three musicians Maria Carvalho (vocals), António de Brito (guitar and vocals), and Benjamin Walbrodt (cello) have since performed throughout Germany and Europe, delighting countless audiences with their wonderful original compositions and passionate stage performances.
