Tobias Panwitz
Berlin songwriter Tobias Panwitz (formerly Trailhead) incorporates travel experiences and encounters into energetic folk songs and atmospheric ballads.
With guitar, harmonica and piano, Panwitz sings about moments on American country roads, Spanish paths and trails across the Alps. Influenced by America's classic songwriters of the 60s and 70s, Panwitz combines his English and German songs with stories and tales about the places and moments in which they were written.
Whether on Spanish caminos or on hiking trails across the Alps - Panwitz prefers to be on foot. “Walking is good monotony for me, ideas and songs come and go, some stick. And running itself is pure rhythm. The steps alone give you the groove for a song.”
