With a starting position in the top 40 of the album charts in Great Britain, numerous positive reviews from well-known magazines and several appearances at the Reading and Leeds festivals, the start of the career of Ethan James Barnett, better known as Ten Tonnes, demonstrated early on the extraordinary power of the young Englishman the small town of Hertford.

His music has already been described as danceable and rousing by numerous magazines. The Times reports an infectious energy, The Guardian praises the "airy guitar singalongs", and Dork sees Ten Tonnes' music as having "big, festival-ready choruses to sing along to".
After a tour of Great Britain in autumn 2023, Ten Tonnes is also coming to Germany this year to present its scratchy, rousing indie rock repertoire live in Berlin and get the crowd singing and dancing along.
