The Sauer organ in the Faith Church, built in 1915 like the church building and now a listed building, was built as one of the last German-Romantic instruments by Wilhelm Sauer as op. 1180.

The organ has a special feature that has now been restored: a
“Fernwerk”. Behind it there is a small, separate organ that is located away from the main organ and whose sounds are piped directly into the center of the church. This creates a special effect: the sounds seem to come “from heaven”.

This “Fernwerk” is unique in Berlin-Brandenburg. Reconstructing this part of the organ and reinserting it into the existing organ was therefore a particular challenge of the renovation project.
