In May 2025, the THFxHistory event series at Tempelhof Airport will be dedicated to the historical topic "80 Years Since the End of the War." A special highlight will be the return of renowned author and filmmaker Volker Heise, who thrilled audiences with a sold-out reading earlier this year.

At the historic site of Tempelhof Airport, Heise will read from his latest book, "1945," which, in striking snapshots, describes a year between destruction and new beginnings. The event offers not only a moving reading but also in-depth insights into Heise's research. He will then answer questions from the audience.
The evening will be moderated by historian and author Elke Kimmel.
