The band's live performances are characterised by brilliant stage shows. In addition to elaborate outfits and choreography, the band member Teufel also plays a role, with his shaved skull and tufts of red hair arranged into horns serving as the visual centrepiece of the band.

ATTENTION MAN! An exclamation - that catches the ear, that hits the heart. The Berlin band's music is more convincing live than ever and has long been a firm favourite in the rock scene.
Provocative, enticing, promising, we hear the devil's voice calling out: ACHTUNG MENSCH!
The original band consisted partly of members of the medieval music group Corvus Corax. Singer Teufel and Micha Rhein (later In Extremo) came up with the idea of no longer limiting themselves to medieval instruments when they were still touring as the medieval band Pullarius Furcillo.
The Tanzwut project was founded in 1997. The name goes back to the historical phenomenon of Tanzwut.
