Weeks against racism in Pankow

Taking a stand for a diverse society - Pankow is part of it! - From 17 to 30 March, the “Pankow against Racism” network is organizing various events and campaigns as part of the International Weeks against Racism to draw attention to racism and discrimination in our society and to start a conversation with citizens.


Pankow residents can expect an exciting program of over 20 events and activities that invite them to reflect, change perspectives, exchange ideas and get active.

The kick-off event is on Monday, 17.03.2025 from 9:00 to 19:00: The Buch district library (Wiltbergstraße 19-23, 13125 Berlin) is organizing a day with lots of activities for young and old. 

There will be a workshop on racism for children aged six and over at 11:00, gaming and a disco against the right at 13:00 and the Market of Opportunities at 15:00, where initiatives from Buch and Berlin will be presenting their diverse range of activities and inviting people to exchange ideas. This special day will be rounded off with performance art at 16:00, an international buffet at 17:00 and a surprise musical act at 18:00.

Pankow's new District Commissioner for Participation and Integration Forouzan Forough and the District Anti-Semitism and Anti-Discrimination Officer Monika Flores Martínez will be welcoming Pankow residents from 15:00 and are looking forward to numerous encounters.
