Founded in 1650 by Antoine Arnauld, the Community of the Golden Cross developed from a secret society critical of the church to a pioneer of conscious living.

It emphasises the importance of body, mind and soul for human consciousness and strives for greater spiritual freedom.
Its influential members include the French metaphysician Antoine Joseph Pernety, who worked at the court of Frederick II. Today, the community is active in seven European countries and offers answers to the challenges of modern life, in particular by promoting esoteric approaches to consciousness.
A central element is the ‘Healing Oil of Jerusalem’, the recipe for which was made available by Sir Hugh Sykes, court chaplain to Queen Mother Mary. This herbal oil is valued for its positive effects on health and quality of life.
On 2 March 2025, Prof. Kurt J. Bruk will present the community and the ‘Healing Oil’ at the ‘Meeet’ event centre (Chausseestraße 86, 10115 Berlin). Advance registration is required due to limited seating. The visit is free of charge; a voluntary contribution towards costs is requested.
