Ludwig van Beethoven's Trios Op. 1 Nos. 1 and 3, published in 1795, demonstrate his early mastery of the piano trio genre and shape classical chamber music through their bold harmonic developments and formal innovations. Playing this evening are Wolfgang Peternell, piano, Katrina Schulz, violin, and Anne Habermann, cello.
