Immerse yourself in another chapter of Islamic art. Together, participants will explore the principles of stucco carving and how it can be combined with colored glass.
On this day, participants will design an object themselves. Using an example from a mosque in Yazd, Iran, facilitator and artist Ghaidaa Kotb will introduce you to the principles of this traditional technique.
After the workshop, participants can take their own work home.
The workshop is open to people of all ages (15 years and older).
The workshop is part of a series offered by the Museum of Islamic Art. One workshop takes place monthly. On April 12, the focus will be on straw inlays, and on June 14, on wood carving.
