tour with Katja Hock

The lapidarium in the garden of the Reinickendorf Museum consists of remaining sculptures, facade parts and fragments of the former street furniture museum (since 1972) in the courtyard of the Tegel Center on Gorkistrasse.

The Berlin gallery owner Konrad "Jule" Hammer put together the collection with support from the Berlin Senate and private individuals, among others. In order to counteract the decay and loss of the objects, they were relocated to the museum and have been on display there since 2015. The lion pilaster figures in front of the museum became part of the "Interventions. Colonial traces in the permanent exhibition".

An event as part of the Open Monument Day.
