With To Kiss Against the Fire, Spyros Rennt presents his most extensive solo exhibition to date, spanning eight years and four photobooks.
Part of the Berlin Gallery Weekend Off-Programme, it also marks the opening of Rosegarden, a new cultural space by Frontrose, designed in collaboration with Danish brand FRAMA.
Rennt’s work oscillates between reality and dream, intimacy and ecstasy. His photographs capture queerness, nightlife, performances, and cultural figures, always with an unfiltered lens on connection, vulnerability, and desire. His images serve as a visual archive of queer life, celebrating shared existence and resisting cultural erasure in a time of increasing repression.
The exhibition title references David Wojnarowicz, the American artist and AIDS activist who fought against the erasure of queer lives. In today’s political climate, Rennt’s work stands as both a tribute and a statement of defiance.
