3 listening situations, 3 instruments and English opera melodies

Three concerts in one - stroll through the museum with headphones, experience a private concert and a “normal” public performance. You can do all this in one afternoon with opera music by George Frideric Handel, arranged for chamber music.

Such arrangements were quite common in Handel's time if you wanted to bring the great opera hits into your own living room, and the publishers did good business with them. Experience Handel's music in an arrangement for three instruments created by the ensemble: as a digital reproduction, alone with the musicians in a private concert and as a chamber music concert together with other listeners in the museum.

  • What changes in your perception of the music in the different situations?

With Mirjam-Luise Münzel, Concept, Music direction, recorder, viola da gamba and baroque cello, Anna Reisener, viola da gamba, baroque cello, and Julius Lorscheider, harpsichord
