SISTER ACT UK CAST TOUR
With more than 5 million admissions, the cult film "Sister Act" was one of the most successful cinema films from 1992, inspiring audiences not only with its humorous moments, but also with its rousing soundtrack and inspiring message.
Following its success in New York, London and Germany, SISTER ACT will be touring Germany and Austria from autumn 2024 in the rousing original production straight from London's West End in German.
The eccentric nightclub singer Deloris van Cartier accidentally witnesses a murder by her shady boyfriend's gang of gangsters after her performance and suddenly finds herself in the witness protection programme. But instead of glamourous stage lights, a conservative convent awaits her, where she is to go into hiding as a humble nun - much to the chagrin of the strict Mother Superior, whose world view could not be more different...
Deloris is supposed to become part of the congregation in the church choir, but the nuns can't hit a note and so the singer quickly takes over the leadership.
With her, every church service becomes an event and the masses attract more and more people - when they are finally asked to perform in front of the Pope, the gangsters are on Deloris' trail and the nuns unexpectedly find themselves in great danger...
