The concert opens with the overture to Mozart's opera ‘Don Giovanni’. This is followed by the German premiere of ‘Sinfonia 2022’ by the Portuguese composer Nuno Côrte-Real, who will conduct the work himself. On this occasion, the composition will also be recorded for a CD production.

Sinfonia & Sehnsucht
In the second part of the evening, Johannes Brahms' Symphony No. 1 in C minor will be performed, which is considered a milestone in his work. After years of struggling with high expectations and self-doubt, Brahms completed this first symphony at the age of 43, finally breaking free from Beethoven's shadow.
