Tennota & Rosa Anschütz
In conversation and private sessions, this collaboration began in 2022, finally displaying in 2025 as Tornamented Walls. On these recordings Anschütz sings, speaks, plays harmonium and utilises a looper. In lockstep with the voice, Tennota dissolve the dense rhythmic complexity of their recent work into a creeping mantra. Tennota is the London-based duo of Tom Wheatley & Grundik Kasyansky that takes primary materials - gut strings, sine waves, tree sap, feedback - to flex them over contemporary technologies into an elemental suspension. Artist and musician Rosa Anschütz combines with her meditative and sometimes haunting compositions the dark ambience of post-punk and cold wave with ethereal polyphony, synth-driven melodies and spoken word.
